Honey and apples and composted manure. We do other things on the farm including corn and soybean and boarding horses and hay production, but I was not impressed with our market sales this year relative to vegetable produce. The honey and apples netted far far more and the manure was something that started up as other gardeners wanted organic material for their raised beds. At 15 bucks a Bobcat scoop for 200 day + composted its a nice income from waste. This year I am expanding from 6 colonies of bees to 40, planting more apples, and experimenting with grape vines. I am cutting out all vegetable sales with the exception of a single market that we can support from an oversized family plot.
