In Oxford, Mississippi, our fees are $10 annual registration (to be paid
before the required verification visit to the farm is scheduled, but we
refund it in the first week's booth fee) and $10/wk or $30/mo booth fee
for Saturday mornings. There's a $5 booth fee for Wednesday afternoons,
which understandably have far smaller numbers of both vendors and
visitors.

As of this year we're charging a $30 registration for anyone outside of
Lafayette County (also refundable in booth fees) just to discourage
back-yard growers who aren't serious about coming to market. Members of
our all-volunteer board don't have time for the 120-mile and 160-mile
round trips we've made a couple of times for who never showed up.

We've operated for seven years in a parking lot but are exploring the
possibility of a shed. If we can get the grant for the building that we've
been led to believe is available, we probably won't raise fees until we
reach capacity; after that, I imagine, we'll charge less to folks who
still have to set up their own canopies.

Blessings,
errol
