Sounds borderline Sue. Basil is really sensitive to frost. If ithad a very light exposure, you may see some die, others recover. It shouldn't take more than a few days to know which ones will recover. They'll show some signs of pushing new shoots. Those that don't may die soon.

Some of the leaves on my basil have turned brown from the cool weather, will
these plants die, or recover?
