Last season I charged $4.00/quart for okra, is this too cheap or about normal? I have nothing to compare it to. Living in Vermont, many don’t know what okra is, but there are some that do and love it, and they were totally surprised to see that I had it at the Farmers Markets. It also had to do with the location of the market, if it sold.

I had a great year last year for growing it.

I also sell herbs, but I have no idea how large of a bunch to make, and at what price. How do others bunch up rosemary, oregano, chives and thyme? I put the basil in a big container of water and just gave people a really nice sized bunch for $2.00 last year, and a small bunch of sage for $1.50 and parsley for $1.50. Sometimes I would put these into individual jars with water and sometimes just quite a bit into a jar, and made bunches from that. I am allergic to rubber bands, so I sometimes have tied bunches with ribbons.

I am at a lost as to what to charge for the herbs and would appreciate help with this. And how large of a bunch to sell.

Thank you,

Sue Wells
