Hi Mark,
I have an older model BCS 605 8 horse with a rotary mower and rototiller attachment. I think the mower would work better with more horsepower, but it does a heck of a good job as is when I ran it head on into an old alfalfa field that had a mixture of oats and grass standing 3-4 foot tall. I have a surrey seat to use when mowing so a lot of PTO power went to hauling this old guys fanny around. The tiller is magnificent! It digs it's heels in like an ex wife suing for alimony ! I tilled just this morning a 2000' plot that was patially wet and all of it was caliche ( Adobe ) mud. Wet or dry it just powered on through like it wasnt there. When you dump the clutch it just digs in and I start happily grunting like Tim the toolman Taylor ! I did the whole plot in first gear and then made a second pass in second gear and if it was a bigger lot I could have run behind it in third, it put so much power into the tiller. So I am sold on it. I am going to use it to till a whole acre of alfalfa under this weekend. Mine is only a 8 Hp model, I think the one you are looking at is bigger so you should be very happy with it. The only other attachment I have is a double wing adjustable plow that attaches behind the tiller which I have used only to open the ground to install sprinklers. I hear tell the blade attachment makes one very popular in the neighborhood when it snows! Good luck with your BCS it makes a troybilt look like the proverbial 97 pound weakling. Joe
