Toni:I am wondering if any of you know of a particular strain of them (tomatillos)that
have larger fruits than others?
Oldtimin: I have gotten my tomatillos from a greenhouse the previous two years. This year I bought seed from Baker Creek. It was the same variety, Toma Verde, as I bought from the greenhouse. The seed from Baker Creek produced plants twice as big, produced twice as much, and the fruit were much larger, bigger than the grocery store offers even. My sales of them have gone up every year and I hope none of the other vendors jump on them at my local markets, lol.
