Thanks for the helpful comments on table grapes. I think we'll look at the
cultivars that Bill mentioned and put in a 200' or so row this fall as a
test. The one thing that does concern me is 2-4D, our certification
inspector mentioned it when he was here last week and being basically dumb
about these chemicals was surprised to hear it travels up to 8 miles. We
have new developments springing up around us - 4 major ones in under 5 miles
so I guess that the drift could be a huge issue.
Bill, is your research center zone 4 or 5? We are mostly a 6a by my
observation. Do you have a good source for grapes?
