We have had rabbits get under row covers many times and have their way with the melon seedlings. Eating 400' feet easily in an evening. The rabbits can get under any row cover that is not secured on both sides and ends or has large holes punched in them from deer, cats, dogs, etc..

A couple of good hunting cats will help keep the bunny population under control.

as far as I know the cats have not been under the row covers at the same time as the bunnies, at least not in the melons

I use row cover to keep wascally wabbits out of the lettuce beds - 9
guage wire hoops secured to each other with waxed string for
stability......remay fabric.
Good luck - they and the beautiful deer are our pains here, too!
