Here I am in yet another startup on another piece of ground.
One of the first things I need to get in place is a good tool and ammendment shed. I'm not a carpenter by any means and have little faith that it is a skill that is easily acquired, but, at the same time, I'm pretty uncomfortable with pulling one of those portable 'Amish mini-Barns' from Lowes onto the field, also. Id rather bust a dozen thumbs, I think, that start the organic garden wit ha strong sense of pre-fab.
But what is your experience? Has anyone crunched the numbers on the pre-fab vs the thumb-buster sheds? That could turn the tide for me. I salivated over a buddy's beautiful garden shed only to find out that it cost him $1000 IN MATERIALS more than the Lowes shed would for a similar footage.
What's your experience and recommendations?
Thanks
