Canned beans usually have a lot of added salt: I suppose if
you wanted to duplicate the taste, you could add salt to
cooked dry beans (add it *after* you have cooked them,
because adding it before slows down the cooking, or at least
so I've read).
For myself, I prefer the taste of home-cooked dry beans to
canned beans.
