Hi Mike - the journal Growing for
Market (web site is http://www.growingformarket.com ) put
together a great little booklet dealing with all you have mentioned plus more -
see if you can get it from them (it was free). I checked under
Publications but didn't see it though there is tons of other good stuff to
buy.
Every farmers' market is different -
some might well allow an occasional vendor.
Seems like one
real crucial point for growers is that those that come in occasionally (for whom
it is just a hobby - I am not saying that about you, but others) sell for so
little since they don't really need to make a profit, that they hurt the serious
growers who have to charge what it really costs them to produce.
