If they get too
big, let them dry for flower arrangements because they won't be fit to
eat. (The tip about drying okra pods is from Linda Chapman-Dale, a
flower grower lurker on this list). Hi Linda!
When the pods are to big you simply shell the okra peas out and use them
just like a pea or lentil. They taste great. You can feed them to people who
swear they would never eat okra and they will compliment the dish. Remember
there is no slime in the pea but of course it is the slime and the file
gumbo that makes a quality gumbo. bob
