I suspect you're just seeing cold temps slow the plants down. In the case of the peas, they're shifting into an overwintering stage and won't flower until they're exposed to warmer temps. Think of temperature as an accelerator for plant growth. If you can do something to expose the plants to warmer temps, at least during the day when the sun is shining, the plant will make daily, cumulative gains that will get you to harvest quicker. Good Luck.

Are you near Bedford? My uncle lives there. I've been wanting to visit him. Would it be possible to visit you sometime as well?

We planted broccoli, cabbage and cauliflower along with sugar snaps, kale, and lettuces.  They are outside and are protected with cloth when the temps drop.  They were planted in late August.  We are getting some lettuces but everything else is just not doing much.  The plants look healthy but they seem to have reached a plateau.  No sugar snaps, no developing heads.  We've also applied Brix Mix along the way. Any suggestions ?  This is north central Kentucky, just north of the Weidigers.
