You have hit on the biggest scam short of bottled water, so called renewable
fuels derived from agricultural commodities. Even though agencies, portions
of the energy sector, and agricultural groups have labeled bio-fuels as
renewable, they are far from sustainable. Americans are being forced to pay
for subsidies for grain to be used as fuel, processing in subsidized plants,
policies that government vehicles burn the fuel at a premium price, and
premiums at the pumps without any labeling as to the content or proportions
of ethanol.

Bio-fuels such as ethanol and soy diesel are not sustainable in the programs
currently implemented. On farm production and use of bio-fuels can be made
to be sustainable. The current programs which FB has lobbied for are not.
