There are plenty of complaints about the American Farm Bureau Federation - I
send a site you can check out, as to what some of these complaints are.
There is pretty good evidence for the claims.
Perhaps the Farm Bureau is like other organizations - at the grass roots
level, they are ok, and made up of regular people with regular needs. But
at the national/power level, some pretty bad policies are pursued in the
interest of power and wealth. The Farm Bureau seems to fit into this
category.
