Sound Science in simple words for those who care:

I make a theory or claim.

I publish my proof which contains directions on how to come to the same
results as I did.

Others try to duplicate my results

If others can duplicate my results I have sound science

If others cannot duplicate my results THEY publish their results by
criticizing my claim and "proof"

I now have options: I can humbly and cooperatively accept criticisms from my
peers, go back to the drawing board and correct my mental inaccuracies OR I
can act arrogant and claim things that ruin me in the eyes of my peers

If I choose to accept criticism from my peers (humility) I will grow
professionally and be more liable to walk a success oriented pathway.

The other pathway implies I will struggle with life as a victim of the
arrogance of ignorance.
