What about curly dock? That's what I was dealing with.

Hello-
Common burdock is a biennial in these parts.  First year a vegetative plant, year 2 send sup the classically known 'tree' with multiple flowers and accompanying burs protecting and providing transport to seeds.  Mowing continually will work, but it is over-kill as all one need do is to not allow it to flower - ever - and eventually the seedbank will run out.  Cultivation will prevent new seedlings from becoming viable first year plants, and thus, not ever flowering second year plants.
