Pomegrantes are used as decorative plants around here; if ya'll don't
have them, I guess that they are sub-tropical. Anyway, the fruit is
almost never sold because there is almost no demand. I've never seen
them offered in a farmers market. Very tart. They ripen late in the
season, perhaps September or so. I have one or two in the yard, quite
old may 30 years or so. They produce no more that a dozen fruit each
year; at least, I have not noticed more than that.
