My favorite tomato trellising is to run two rows of "T" posts, one post
every 8', to which 16' cattle panels are tied with decomposable
twine. The height above ground that the lower edge of the panel is set and
the space between the two rows of panels can be selected according to the
variety's habits. Tucking outside growth back in a different grid
opening takes little time and secures the plants to the wire grids. The
panels used up off the ground should last forever. The openings are amply
large for reaching through. The lighter weight variety of the panels is
adequate.
