We have done this for the past 2 years and have found it to work much better
than anything else we've tried. And...we've tried most everything! We had
1400 tomato plants out last year and did them all that way. Lots of tying
twine as the plants grow, but they grew so much better and even lasted
through the drought we had. The end of September the plants were still
healthy looking although not bearing much fruit at that time. We don't have
PYO farm, so I don't know if this method would help/hurt in any way. Seems
to me it would benefit you though since the plants are held up so well that
people wouldn't have to move the plants around to reach the tomatoes.
