Last year we sponsored a bus tour for chefs from Philadelphia, they had a
chance to tour
many local farms, sample produce off the vine and make recommendations and
new friends,
our coop did $58 million in sales in 2000 much of it to restaurants, get to
know your
buyers and their needs and wants and you will always have a ready market for
your stuff,
the GRAPE tomato is quickly replacing the sliced tomato in most restaurants,
and RED
onions and kale are the most common topping around here in salads.
