The word "Lifestyles" is appropriate because this transitional lifestyle is
much better "integrated" than our previous compartmentalized activities,
where the job had no relevance (other than financial) to the rest of our
lives. Consequently, our recreational activities are mostly related to our
"work", much as you described. Our friends have similar interests. We have
little need for diversion and escape to compensate for the hollowness of our
cubicle life.
We have a glass of wine by the stream...
