Yes, the demand for grass-fed beef exceeds the supply, but we still eat more beef than we need for optimum health.  If we reduce our consumption and pay what grass-fed beef is worth, the market forces will work in our favor, for once.

Another good reason to patronize people who raise beef or dairy
cattle on grass. Or do it yourself if you can.

There is a growing demand for grass-fed beef. The man I get my milk
from told me he was completely out of ground beef--someone had driven
from 300 miles away to buy all he had. Most of us aren't going to do
that for our own consumption, but there is a growing trend toward
co-operative efforts. One person makes the drive to purchase meat or
wheat or milk or whatever for a group of people. There are several
organized co-ops doing this just in Virginia and several unofficial ones.
