- Subject: [Livingontheland] Veg. Garden Shade Cloth?
- Date: Sun, 25 Feb 2007 17:11:37 -0600
As anyone who reads this list knows, I've been
studying intensive gardening. I just realized that, in spite of much
coverage of season-extending tricks, I've never seen any mention of shade
as a season-extending measure for Southwest climates. Wouldn't use of a
40% shade cloth give us another month or two of salad greens? Or maybe
even allow stuff to grow in July and August? Around here about the only
thing that grows in July and August is Peppers.
