Hi Pat,

In addition to FEDCO be sure to check out these old favorites:

Frank Morton's seeds from http://www.wildgardenseed.com
Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds at http://www.rareseeds.com
George Stephen's Synergy Seeds at http://www.synergyseeds.com
Sow Organic at http://www.groworganic.com

Baker Creek is a good (often overlooked) source for bulk quantities of  Asian greens and Thai greens seeds; Frank Morton may be unrivalled as a source for lettuce varieties; and Synergy sells a number of rare grain varieties (particularly buckwheat), though usually in small amounts rather than bulk. Sow Organic has some nice yacons and other rare things, some from Alan Kapular's Peace Seed Collection.

That's what got a group of us on the Organic Gardening List motivated to
learn the sources of all the seeds we buy. It turned out to be a bigger
project than we originally envisioned, back in December when we started, and
we didn't have complete information in January when we needed to be ordering
seeds. We're continuing the project this year and hope to have a useful
list by the autumn.

Pat
