Data point, dsl modem -> router -> machine. $37.50/month + ~ $30/month
land line for ISP and local phone connection. No phone long distance or
features; no cable.

Zip code 27704
Verizon.net dsl
Down 2.7mb
Up 512 up

Objective least expense for both phone and ISP. No need for TV. There
probably is a less expensive option of TWC cable connection for ISP TO
get VOIP phone + RR; but apparently the possible savings are not greater
than the inertia of status quo. I'm satisfied with Verizon DSL ~ 4 yr.
now.

My data:

Durham, NC 27713 TWC and I pay for the 'turbo' option.
7843kbps down
489kbps up

I might could squeeze a bit more out of that if I went direct the RR
cable
modem, as it is it goes through a Linksys WRT54G.
