blargh, tried this once, mail.app is acting up on me today...
as i tried to say before, when it went into the moderation queue:
i'd rather spend a couple hundred bucks on a device that isn't dependent on a company staying afloat, and with all the shooting- themselves-in-the-foot* TiVO's been up to lately, who knows how long they'll last

Advice?
Last I checked the Tivo Lifetime Subscription (for the life of the unit,
even if you later upgrade or replace a hard drive) was $250 and with rebates
you could get a Tivo for $50 or, during one of their special promos, free.
That puts you at $250-$300 for the unit complete with service and no
recurring fees, and it's the easiest one to use.
Alex.
