I'm requesting some advice. I need an ethernet router to share our DSL

pay more or I'll be sorry.

What do y'all recommend?

I'm a big fan of Asante. Though NetGear comes in second. Linksys is pretty much crap, I have one at home that locks up about once a day and has to be reset.

As usual, I'm a different data point than zman. My LinkSys has been spectacular. Operating 24/7/365 for almost 2 1/2 years with no problems. I *do* wish it had a MAC address whitelist feature, but I believe that has been incorporated into the newer products.

It used to be that D-Link was the bad guy of consumer network hardware, but now I know people who are very happy with their new(er) D-Link products. For the most part, many of these devices will offer the same reliability and compatibility.

Here is the list I give folks:

LinkSys
Netgear
Belkin
Apple Airport

I have heard that Cisco makes good access points, but they are always too pricey. Oh, I see now that I have diverged from just multi-port routers into the realm of WiFi access points. Tomato, Tomatoe.
