David! Your son is a very smart young man. I recommend this box right here. *pats a box* The latest, the greatest 4-Port Cable/DSL Router, with a built-in firewall, built on the very latest 802.3u technology, has the very latest in Microsoft security, runs on a combination of WindowsCE and Cisco IOS so it's super safe. And, today, I can let you have it for the low low low low low low price of a new Mac mini[*]. :)

from dave.m.parker AT gsk.com:

Hello all.

I'm requesting some advice. I need an ethernet router to share our DSL
connection between my PC and my son's Xbox. I was going to go out and get
the least expensive router I could find, but my son says he "read
somewhere" that getting an inexpensive router is a bad idea, that I should
pay more or I'll be sorry.

What do y'all recommend?

Thanks.

[*] taxes and warranty program signup fee not included; if they were we'd be talking Cinema Displays, not Mac minis.
