First of all, I have to say that it was very hard to reply to this thread without being sarcastic. Honest, I did my best.
What is your name?
According to oppressive Western civil law, my name is David Matusiak.
These days, I'm more inclined to go by "The Tuze".
Where do you live?
I live in beautiful, sprawling Carrboro, North Carolina in the historic Lincoln Park (no, that was not a joke) neighborhood. Lot #8, I believe.
What do you do?
The State of North Carolina pays me good money to act as Systems Administrator to a state-wide digital library service. NC LIVE is a gateway (or conduit, if you will) to information resources beyond your wildest dreams!! http://www.nclive.org/
What do you /really/ do?
I kind of serve as a psychic centrifuge for people to cast things into and see what the outcome might be. InterNetWorkers can be one of these magnetic fields at times. When I'm not either accepting or rejecting the input of others, I tend to spend inordinate amounts of time doing the following:
* Playing with my lovely, but deadly puppy Alva.
http://ibiblio.org/matusiak/photo/alva/
* Listening to any and all music I can get my grubby large hands on.
* Trying to be the best damn rapper that I can be.
* Either harassing or getting harassed by my neighbors.
* Photographing events and sharing those images with people.
* Writing my devilish thoughts into a journal that hopefully
will never see the light of day.
* Helping out local organizations (mostly technology-related).
* Posting online personal ads almost as witty as this email.
* Dreaming of new ways to arrange the furniture in my house.
* Being deeply and disturbingly in love with my Macintosh.
* Planning parties, throwing parties, & attending parties.
* Participating in art-related activities all over the Triangle.
What is your quest?
My quest (like everyone else alive) is to find the highest paying job possible that does the least imaginable amount of work. There really should be a graduate program for this and I intend to write a book on it one day. I'm one of those Berkeley-inspired weirdos who actually believes we are meant to do /other/ things with our lives besides "work."
I have several other, smaller quests. Two of the most significant are getting other people to play nice together and working out the intricacies of my shoe fetish.
Who is your favorite Spice Girl?
Definitely Posh -- even considering the mistakes she has made choosing Beckham.
As a safe back-up, I would have to go with Baby Spice.
Emma B. has got mad booty.
