Well, I just had an excellent voting experience

I can also report a smooth voting experience. Arrived a few minutes after 8:00AM, finished in about five minutes. There were a good number of voters there, but no real lines to speak of. Confirmation consisted of stating my name and address. No ID was required.

Tables and chairs augmented the little voting stands. Probably about 12-15 voters were marking their ballots concurrently. The optical scanner bleeped and incremented its counter when I fed it the ballot, although no feedback on my choices was given. A nice lady stickered me on the way out.

A friend poll-worker reported that it had been much busier an hour earlier and estimated that 50% of our precinct had submitted ballots at that point. That's pretty impressive turnout.
