I think you're missing the point of these 'innocent' majority parades.
If I'm part of a group that's oppressed, wants to draw attention to itself, show that they're not ashamed of something, etc... a parade such as the NC Pride Parade is a good way to constructively do this.
Historically, the early reaction to this sort of parade was violence, even murder. Things are progressing, but it's slow going. Counter-parades are very mild form of assault, but it's still a direct opposition to acceptance, a plea for the status quo, and as such (and given its history) is intentionally hurtful to the affected group.
I'm sure that the growing acceptance of the GLBT community into the mainstream is upsetting to many people, particularly stupid, ignorant people. Mr. Dumas no doubt considers this to be a large part of his target audience. However, it is both specious and ignorant to veil this kind of bigotry with a corresponding 'Heterosexual Pride' parade.
And while I cannot condone threats, I can assure you that I for one will never do business with tailoredaffair.com.

I never post to this list either. However I think that your
statements could be taken to mean that parades should only be for
minorities. Surely you mean something else. To accept a gay pride
parade and to deride a heterosexual parade is indicitive of a double
standard. If we have freedom of speech, then let any one who chooses
to march, march without prejudice. I for one, would welcome
heterosexuals marching because being heterosexual isn't something to
feel guilty for.
And as for Tabeckett, you really seem to have a problem with this.
Have you seen a therapist lately? ;-)
