We have an EPA employee on the list, right? Any inside news?

Someone recently told me that NC doesn't score well on the air pollution
list. It's hard to imagine when one considers all of our idyllic spaces,
but then again I suppose one has to consider all the car exhaust in the
Triangle, the Triad, and Charlotte.

I wonder what power plants are belching smoke...

EPA Considers Lawsuits Vs. 22 Utilities

WASHINGTON - The Environmental Protection Agency (news - web sites) is
considering actions against nearly two dozen utilities for violating air
pollution rules the Bush administration has been trying to make less
burdensome to industry, according to agency officials...

... The cases referred to Justice include possible violations at power
plants across the country, including New York, North Carolina, Ohio,
Indiana, Florida, Mississippi and Oregon...
