im sorry, i didnt mean to say that...my apologies if it came off that way...i was referring to some people that i know of flist that are like that...
i don't really know why it does, it just seems to. i don't mind if they keep it 100% clean, i mean, thats cool for them, I don't have that kind of self control, but its when people just barely cover it up that it seems to me like its just the same, but some people i know get all self-righteous about it if you say anything to them.
sorry about the lack of clarity

Ian,
Please don't accuse somebody who doesn't prefer to use those words of being
an "uber-religious zealot." Why should the fact that someone avoids cursing
annoy you?

I think you're absolutely right
One of the most annoying things to me is when some uber-religious
zealot or just someone who doesn't curse or use 4 letter words says
other words in their palace like "G.D." for "God dammit" or something
like that. They're obviously thinking it, but just not saying it, and
to me, thats just the same.
Personally, I could really care less...

Okay, I have to chime in now... I mean, criminy! "****"?? It's just a
word. You can say it; it's okay. Hey, you can even *spell* it: F - U
- C
- K. Along with all the other "four-letter" or "bad" words.
I have never understood this cultural peculiarity that certain words
are
somehow bad. We can't say fuck over here, but across the pond and
south
of the border it's perfectly acceptable; and across the pond they're
not
allowed to say bloody, yet Americans think it's a perfect British
accent
to say bloody this and bloody that...
They're just words; get over it.
