Title: Re: [internetworkers] random NC statutes

Organizations may not hold their meetings while the members present are in costume.

This one also sounds like an anti-Klan measure, although today I guess it would mostly apply to the SCA and Civil War re-enactors.

There's one in the motor vehicle laws called "smoke screens" that makes it a felony to have a device in one's car (attached to the car or just inside it) capable of emitting "smoke, gas, or other substance" not necessary to run the car. (Statute ยง 20-136 if you care to look it up.) I wonder how strictly that can be interpreted. If you have an ice cream maker in your car, does that count? It's a machine that creates a substance after all. I have a bubble machine for parades that I store in the trunk. Woo hoo! I'm a felon!
