i think it is ridiculous that everything must be constantly accelerated (for what purpose?) and that we, as inferior "human machines," are expected to keep up with this pace.

Well, I can see not installing wireless access in Yellowstone, but as far as I'm concerned, planes are mobile prisons. Anything to alleviate the incredible discomfort of being strapped in a tiny chair for hours at a time is OK by me.
