Yes, they bug me as well. First off, and I don't mean to offend anyone,
but I've never met a MCSE worth a damn. Not one. I've met boatloads that
merely got through the test because they thought it would make them a ton
of money. Real world skills people, that's the key. As for the CCNA it's
not a hard acronym to tack on either. I was actually bored out of my mind
in the supposed class when I get laid off from NewSouth. Pretty basic
stuff there if you work on the network side of things. The big plus with
these certifications is that the more of these people you have working in
you company, the bigger the discount you get. That's the only reason
NewSouth was even paying for the class. I wish they would have paid for
the test afterwards anyway. Though I must say I am getting ready for 2
Apple certifications.
