Yeah, it really sucks. :( As far as the bar scene is concerned all it does is probably increase drunk driving on 40 and bring an influx of money to Chapel Hill.

I guess Chapel Hill won't complain. ;)

See, we need high speed trains so I can go over to UNC in 15 minutes and stagger around Franklin Street. Hee, hee, hee....

Tom

As a former business owner on Hillsborough St. I'll have to blame the
city, the university (Mary Fox), and the neighbors behind. They have
made it harder and harder to own and operate a business on Hillsborough
st. There are approx. 6 empty spots on the 2500 block alone. It seems that
you can move a block from a major university and bitch about the students,
I think the airport would have been a better choice, then they could bitch
about the planes. The city promises to do one thing for the business' if
they can do something for the neighborhood, then they never follow through
for the business' And Mary Fox really wants NCSU to be self sufficient,
notice the fast food on campus now, they have tried to keep the students
from leaving campus. God forbid if you want to have a business that serves
alcohol
