A friend of mine was given a tour of the local police station the other
day. What did he do? He woke up before dawn that day and saw beautiful
fog, and decided to dash about town and take some photographs. He ended
up in Baltimore's Inner Harbor. One photo he shot happened to point in
the same direction as Baltimore's World Trade Center. And he has long
hair and a beard. His mother is Greek Cypriot, so he looks vaguely
Middle Eastern (if you don't know what a Greek looks like). And he
wears a skirt. They demanded his driver's license and registration and
took him down to the police station. They asked him for his mother's
name and address (he's in his late thirties). In all, they detained him
about an hour. Of course, a *real* terrorist would be more likely to
take photos during the day, without fog, and while amidst the hundreds
of others who are snapping photos in a popular tourist spot.
