Hey now! You watch it! Cute shoes are about as _real_ as you can get
sometimes! :) (Honestly, I admit I'm a bit biased here, having, just
yesterday _scored_ this pair of shoes that was featured in, yes, a
fashion magazine (<i>gasp!</i>, and that I've been looking for online
for -- I kid you not -- fully 6 months [the May issue it was] and so
that's got me going on a "woo-hoo, shoes are _wonderful_ kick, but
still...)
That being said, to satisfy your definition of real: I tend towards
handicrafts at times. Ok, I more than "tend" -- I have a frightening
propensity for picking up a new "artsy-craftsy" thing every 8-12 months
or so. Currently my gig is jewelry-making (wirework and some loomless
[isn't that a fun word to say: "loomless"] bead work), but in the past
I've taken up: knitting, stained glass, Polaroid emulsion transfer,
decorative painting, ceramics painting, rubber stamping, scrapbooking,
glassblowing, and photography. Yes, I am a crafts junkie.

PS I *hate* the fact that now that my email isn't
pine-from-a-telnetted-account I can't get to it during the day except
thought one of those pop-email-from-anywhere-web-sites, which means, of
course, that I can't *post* to the list during the day 'cause the
address will be wrong and it will get rejected (and we all know how I
feel about _that_!).
