Very valid point -- no reason for anyone to hurt themselves, hurt others,
and/or
illegally drive intoxicated.

However, during the bus trip itself (30 min-1 hour), about 1/8-1/4 ounce of
absolute alcohol can be metabolized by the body. This translates to 1/4-1/2 a
beer. Also, the pickup point could be somewhere near a coffee shop so that if
anyone is really having trouble they can have a place to hang for a while.

This page has a good chart on Blood Alcohol Levels.
