Dallas -

I am sure that just about anything would fit in, but you (in some ways)
want to stick out (or at least make an impression 'cause you're so
"together"). I think you can't possibly go wrong with a black pants suit
-- maybe one of the ones with a zip-front, fitted jacket -- and a short
sleeve) mock t-neck sweater. It's very stylish (important in NYC),
professional and (important while traveling) versatile (can wear pants
with another sweater one day, take off jacket if it's hot, etc.)

My $.02, YMMV --- I thought a specific might be more helpful....
