Thanks for your kind thoughts, Bob. It does look bad for
Texas. I can't seem to post to the list serve...I'm
getting incoming mail but there's some problem outgoing to
certain areas, so I thought I try you directly. If you
receive this, perhaps you can post it for me?

My relatives in Houston and the swamps of Louisiana have
evacuated. We are far enough away from the coast (5 hrs)
that people are fleeing to us. Yesterday the local RV
parks were already bustling with coastal evacuees. We'll
likely see some rain, which we could use as long as it
doesn't cause a flood. Anything over 6 inches and we can't
get over the river crossing for a few days. Anything over
10 inches and we are suddenly river front property. As
good homesteaders, we are always well-stocked with food
and other provisions. We are mainly concerned about the
wind and may have to move our sheep because we never tied
down their shed.
