My goats are doing good on pasture. No other animal could make milk
and meat from what grows on my pasture. There are few weeds that are
over ankle high. It's the myriad of wild grasses that are overgrown
and seeding. But they do prefer to get out of the fence in the
neighbor's woods and browse on saplings, etc.
They are doing a good job. This fall I'll lime the pasture and if we
don't have drought this year, might pick up a couple of calves to be
ready to hit the grass next spring... I think I could have done so
this year.
