They do, but they don't prefer it. When the drought got bad last fall the
goats could be seen on their front 'knees' going across the pasture mowing it
off closer than a sheep. But if browse is available, they will eat it over
all
else.
By the same token an sheep or cow will browse but they don't prefer it. The
exception being Jerseys who will browse like a goat if given the chance.
