>We have to reign back in our government.

It's usually safe to bring my tea over to the computer when I'm going to read
this list, but this caught me unawares and I've got to go get something to
clean off the screen.

Support Obama in order to reign back the government!??!!??

Oh, I know you mean to keep the government from torturing people and invading
courntries and such. That, I'd submit, does not constiture reigning back
government. Obama is the most dedicated socialist we've had running for
office
since Scott Nearing ran for governor of New York. All the Obama proposals
to
date are for a geatly expanded government.

Proposing that Obama is for a reigned in, accountable goverment is like
suggesting that Al Sadr is in for ham sandwiches.

Now that his policies are being a bit revealed, it appears Obama is trying to
be the next Jimmy Carter. That worked really wel the first time!

Yes, he has people excited about government (see above comments). He has
people excited that government will solve their problems and they needn't try
to
work things out themselves. He has people excited that the mess they find
themselves in is all Bush's fault and not of their own making.

As people have replied over and over again as well: Idi Amin, Hitler, Pol
Pot, Chairman Mao, Yasser Arafat, and Hugo Chavez also got people exicted.
Getting people excited in and of itself is no virtue.
