As people have moved from rural to urban living they have become specialists and have given up responsibility for myriad needs to other specialists. Health used to be the result of normal living, which included all the food one could get and a serious amount of physical labor. Now it is relegated to specialists whose study rarely includes nutrition. Insurance is the ultimate answer to abdicated personal responsibility and a desire for perfection. Perfection, of course, is the enemy of the good enough,.
