The rest of the country has floods, tornados, hurricanes, blizzards. About all you can do is be prepared. How is your go-bag?

I think the difference is that yeah, other areas have these disasters, true, but not as a yearly event like SoCA. Tornados probably equal earthquakes in damage...Santa Ana winds probably equal hurricanes, but tornados and hurricanes are low odds kind of events, whereas the winds out there are a given due to terrain and season, and earthquakes are a given due to geology. You could go 2 or 3 generations in say South Texas without seeing a flood, tornado, blizzard, or hurricane in your area, but could you go even one generation in Southern California without earthquake or wind/fire/mudslide damage?

My Bug-out bag is still packed; it is a Rubbermaid bin that I store my camping stuff in. I have a list of other things to grab, and all important stuff is in another location.. Somethings, like fishing gear, tools, and a tent, remain in my pickup 24/7.
