I totally agree.

People in Richmond that live on the lake that is the reservoir are
upset because they are being stopped from pumping water from the
drying up lake to water their lawns. When the shore of the lake moved
away from the pipes they pump from, they just added extensions and
kept pumping. Their drinking water comes from this lake. One guy
interviewed on the news said he did not think that he was doing
anything illegal or immoral.

My boss lives in an upscale area in an Atlanta suburb. He says he can't live in a million dollar house without having a million dollar yard. I asked him what he intends to do when there is no more water in Lake Alatoona(the worst hit lake in GA and the reservoir that supplies his area). He said he would drill a well. <bev rolls eyes> What is it with people that think there is an unlimited supply of water? I told him that all those chemicals his landscape company uses has probably polluted his aquafer. The look on his face was priceless. I don't think he ever thought of that.

I said that people should prevail, unfortunately, our species is like
a plague of locusts on the land.

Yes, we are.
