Volume. I find the sea kale to be rather tough, but nothing wrong with
that.
We grew that Nero di Toscani kale (loose leafe cabbage, perhaps) this last
year and it was tougher than collards but it was our favorite.

Don't see the sea kale in the catalog, but found the Nero variety. Volume
sounds good to me. It takes a lot of kale to feed 5 people!

But like egg cartons, if you put out the word you want 2L soda jugs, you
will be buried
in them. By the by, they are UV stable. You can use the same ones for
years
and years.

Used to have opaque plastic milk cartons a few years back, but think pop
jugs would let in more light and the taller, cylindrical shape would work
better.

I have a copy of Four Season Harvest by Coleman. Years ago, when we lived in
Maine, my husband worked at Rooster Brother, a specialty kitchen, coffee
roaster & wine store in Ellsworth. They also sold fresh veggies including
Elliott and Barbara's (Damrosch) carrots and lettuce. I've never before (nor
since) seen such beautiful, petite, perfectly-shaped, bundled carrots in all
my life. And sweet! I could have had Elliott autograph my copy, but I
chickened out. So close to greatness, but apparently not close enough to
have it rub off on me. Referring to my gardening skills, that is.
